United Healthcare (UHC) Provider for Mental Health Counseling and Therapy Services.
Using UHC insurance to cover your counseling sessions.
Yes, we accept United Healthcare (UHC) Insurance.
We currently accept United Healthcare insurance in Texas, Florida, and Vermont. We are currently working on expanding our licensing to the states of Nevada and South Carolina and hope to be approved as UHC providers as well. United Healthcare mental health coverage is managed by OPTUM. We are working on getting credentialed with UHC/OPTUM in every state where we provide services. If you want to start counseling with Mending Hearts Counseling, please call your UHC and ask if your therapist is in the network with your plan. Request an Eligibility of benefits (EOB). Please fax the EOB to 210-899-1415; if we are not in the network with UHC insurance, please request a single case agreement while we work on getting credentialed.
No, we do not accept UHC Medicaid insurance plans.
We currently do not accept any UHC Medicaid plans. At this time, and for the year 2023, we do not plan on taking Molina Medicaid plans insurance in the future.
Yes, we do not accept UHC EAP Benefits
We currently do accept UHC EAP plans. Clients who wish to use their EAP can see one of our counselors for a weekly appointment. EAP is a short-term therapy. However, once you have used your EAP benefits, you can utilize your insurance coverage to continue counseling with your therapist.
